| As all good things, our journey has come to an end. There is an incredibilly beautiful country out there and I encourage all to see as much of it as you can. In all places, big and small, there remained one theme - southern bible belt to high plains, east coast to west - Stars and Stripes and Yellow Ribbons are everywhere you look. On private autos, on skyscrapers, on fences, on trees, on homes, on pets, on motorcycles, on lapels, on hats, on tee shirts and I even saw it on hay wraps! Even though there are many differing opinions on politics and the war in Iraq, there is resounding and united support for our military troops and what you are doing every day. I hope you enjoyed our trip journal. We feel so blessed to be able to complete such a trip, 12,300 miles and 50 days. Time to start planning another! |
