| The pictures on this page are of a team of Vehicle Operators deployed to Ramstein AB GE to supplement increased Centralized Intermediate Repair Facility (CIRF) requirements generated by Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lead by SMSgt Rick Shaner a team of operators from Lackland, Malmstrom, Barksdale, F.E. Warren and Spangdahlem deployed to Ramstein in Mar to augment the 86th LRS. They moved over 161 short tons of cargo 16,000 miles to and from facilities at RAF Lakenheath UK, Aviano AB IT and Spangdahlem AB GE without incident, in a 6 week period. One of the monumental achievements was formation of USAFE's first ever organic "hub & spoke" surface transportation capability. Thanks folks for what you did there. USAFE certainly appreciates your dedication and efforts in ensuring a viable part of aircraft sustainment was maintained for both USAFE and CENTAF'S AOR. |
